Summer time - and the living is easy

There is something about summer that invites us to soften.

The days become longer, the sun warms our skin, we spend more time outdoors, we move more freely, breathe more deeply, and somehow life feels a little lighter. We shed not only our winter coats, but also some of the layers we have unknowingly built around ourselves throughout the year.

This summer, we experienced exactly that during our LIVE • LOVE • LAUGH – Evia Edition retreat in Greece.

What made this retreat so special wasn’t just the breathtaking setting overlooking the sparkling Aegean Sea. It was the people. A beautiful mix of men and women, young and young at heart, coming from different countries, professions, and walks of life. Within just a few days, strangers became friends and a genuine community emerged—one built on openness, kindness, curiosity, and laughter.

Together we explored many different practices:

* conscious breathing and meditation

* dynamic and restorative yoga

* movement and Inside Out exploration

* laughter yoga

* guided relaxation

* swimming in crystal-clear waters

* fire rituals

* and letting-go ceremonies, where we released thoughts, habits, and beliefs that no longer served us.

We shared long brunches and candlelit dinners al fresco overlooking the sea, enjoying delicious fresh vegetarian meals prepared with local ingredients. We laughed, reflected, moved, rested, and simply allowed ourselves to be present.

The feedback from our participants was overwhelmingly positive. Many shared that the retreat exceeded their expectations—not only because of the beautiful surroundings or the activities, but because it gently invited them into places within themselves they hadn’t visited before.

Growth isn’t always comfortable.

Some moments were emotional. Some brought old fears, limiting beliefs, or forgotten feelings to the surface. Yet these moments became the greatest gifts. By acknowledging them with compassion instead of pushing them away, participants discovered new strength, deeper self-awareness, and a renewed sense of joy.

Perhaps this is one of summer’s greatest lessons.

As we wear lighter clothes, maybe we can also allow ourselves to carry lighter emotional baggage. Summer reminds us that we don’t have to hold onto everything. We can release old stories, soften our inner dialogue, and make space for something new.

We can become a little lighter.

A little brighter.

A little more ourselves.
